I discovered two plays that have significantly powered up my attacks while playing MTGA with Mike Long’s shuffle version of Dan Burdick’s I’m a Loner, Dotty! deck. One involves tapping two specific creatures I mention in this post, which allowed two Ouroboroid cards to hit the battlefield for the price of one. The other is much simpler, yet just as strong, with two cards teaming up using a single Bloodthorn Flail to take down opponents.
Below is a screenshot of my first discovery, explaining what was done. That is followed by a video of my second discovery.
Discovery 1:

Because one Ouroboroid is not enough! And there’s one more in reserve in case the opponent felt like they haven’t had enough!
But how?
I tapped Gene Gene Pollinator for mana, which required me to tap another creature for that mana, so I picked Hemosymbic Mite.
When it taps, it gives another creature its power and block.
Which was +1/+1.
I used that on Druneth, Reviver of the Hive.
That put my Druneth at 4/4, so when I played Ouroboroid, I was able to get two for the price of one!
Loner Dotty Shuffle!
Concessions, please?
Discovery 2:
I’m a Loner, Dotty! Deck Play – Back to Back
Hey now, say now…
It seems like Dan packed this deck with more secret doors than Harry Potter could have ever discovered at Hogwarts!
Bryn, what’d you say?
No lands? No problem!
By the time my opponent was finally able to bring his fire-breathing dragons down on me to attack my lands, I was able to put down two Hemosymbic Mites and a Bloodthorn Flail.
Now, two Hemosymbic Mites might not be enough…
But when you add a Bloodthorn Flail to just one Hemosymbic Mite, I learned that it becomes an 11-power strike in combined damage.
Thanks, Dan!
